TCS New York CIty Marathon
The New York City Marathon takes place in New York since 1970 and with more than 50 000 runners participating it is the world's largest marathon. The New York City Marathon is one of six marathons which is included in the World Marathon Majors race series. Our own Jeļena Prokopčuka has won the Marathon back to back - 2005 and 2006, while in 2007 and 2013 finishing 3rd.
Due to the successful cooperation with the New York City Marathon and the "Road to New York" program, three lucky sub-teams from Lattelecom Riga Marathon's Team Cup (a total of 12 runners) won the opportunity to receive a guaranteed and paid entry to the prestigious New York City Marathon in 2015.
Volkswagen Prague Marathon
Volkswagen Prague Marathon (Czech Republic) has been awarded the IAAF Road Race Gold Label since 2010. It belongs among 10 best marathons in the world. Thousands of runners from Czech Republic and from more than 70 countries from all over the world participate in it every year. Marathon and Half-marathon races take place on different dates. There are several races organized annually under the brand RunCzech.com what is a year-round programme offering different distances and disciplines for runners of all fitness levels.
Venice Marathon (Italy) has been organized since 1986. Venice marathon has been awarded the IAAF Road Race Silver Label. For 28th Venice marathon there were 8 000 participants. Venice marathon has spectacular course both outside Venice and through Venice, including crossing the Grand Canal over pontoon bridge build especially just for the race and short but glorious detour inside St. Mark's Square.
Spar Budapest International Marathon
Spar Budapest International Marathon (Hungary) has been organized since 1984. Annually there are more than 4 000 marathon runners from 55 different countries finishing SPAR Budapest International Marathon. Although Marathon and Half-marathon races take place on different dates on Marathon day there are also shorter distances for other fitness levels – unique 30 km, marathon relay for 4 persons, 7,5 km race and Fun Run with 3,5 km race. Marathon and Half-marathon races take place on different dates.
The Warsaw Marathon
The Warsaw Marathon (Poland) has been organized since 1979. Annually over 7 000 runners from more than 40 countries enter the race. Marathon and Half-marathon races take place on different dates.
Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon
Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon (Israel) is a multi course event which enables runners of various levels and styles to participate. It is a yearly city celebration suitable for the most professional long distance runners, as well as for beginners.
Valmiera Marathon (Latvia). Although first marathon in Valmiera took place already in 1983 the current organizers resumed event after long break in 2007. In 2015 over 2 000 runners entered the race for marathon, half-marathon & 6 km distances.
Danske Bank Vilnius Marathon the biggest marathon event in Vilnius, Lithuania. Run marathon, half-marathon, 10km or 4.2km and see all the beauty of Vilnius. Vilnius Marathon course runs through the heart of Vilnius old town, which has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, also will lead you to Vingis Park – one of the biggest city parks in Europe. In 2015 Vilnius marathon gathered more than 16 thousand running enthusiasts from all over Lithuania and guests from abroad. Over 3200 runners entered the race for marathon and half-marathon.
SEB Tallinn Marathon
SEB Tallinn Marathon (Estonia) takes place on September. The main distance is 42.2 km but the program includes also a half-marathon and a 10 km distances. All distances start and end at downtown. The race course runs around Old Town and along the edge of the sea. The track has a simple profile and beautiful views of the sea and the city.
Kyiv International Half Marathon «Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2016» became the first Ukrainian half marathon to receive a certificate from Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). Now the race is included in the international AIMS calendar. The event includes races for adults: 21km, 10km, 5km, a half-marathon relay and a 2km charity race. Children have the option to choose between three distances: 1000m, 500m or 100 meters races. Also, there will be an inline skating (21km and 5km) competition for men and women.
